I have a 100' line of Arborvitae Trees. Anticipating a forecast summer drought I buried under mulch 100' of soaker hose made from recycled rubber. I soon found that was a mistake when pieces of the hose started blowing out creating geysers!

I ordered the Hlinker Garden Soaker Hose as a trail replacement and after 6 weeks of use I'm very happy with its performance. It's providing even and consistent water to my trees. Now I need to order 3 more to complete my installation.

Different from the traditional soaker hoses, this one is flat but generally works the same way. After expanding, it works as well as other soaker hoses I have used in the past. Water coverage is good with even consistency. The hoses are easy to position at only 50 ft. and it is simple to attach a second or even third hose for additional coverage.

The hose arrived in a matte plastic resealable bag with nothing else inside. It's very lightweight and folds flat while not in use. The connectors are made of plastic, and the hose itself looks to have an outer shell made of nylon. There is a seam that runs the length of the hose, and that's where the water trickles out when the hose is turned on.

The "drip" extends the entire length of the hose and appears to be slightly heavier near the beginning where it's attached to the water source. The end of the hose is capped, and that's how the pressure is created. The cap can be twisted off, and a second hose can be attached. Although the threaded attachments are plastic, they attached easily to both the spigot and a second hose.

I did not have any problems with kinks while operating this hose. It was somewhat slow-going when I tried to wrangle it all in because I was not using a hose reel. I went to a big box store and bought a cord reel (similar to what you would use to wrap an extension cord or Christmas lights) and I will use that to wrap the hoses while not in use. Since they flatten out quite easily, this cord reel should work very well.

Admittedly, I am new to soaker hoses, and I have not used this hose for very long. I am going to give it 5 stars because it seems to work well.

So far so good. Planted new landscape all around the house and it is very time consuming to try and water everything with a hose. This works great. Keeping everything watered and saving a lot of time!
